For years, most of our work stayed inside the Greenbelt. That has changed. The calls now come from a much wider circle — new custom builds in Kemptville, century stone in Perth, chalets above the Madawaska — and this month we’ve made it official with dedicated service pages for the towns we visit most. Here’s the tour, and what we’re seeing in each place.
Part of it is simple math: the towns around Ottawa are growing faster than the city itself, and custom builds have followed the highways out. Part of it is taste: limewash and venetian plaster stopped being an insider’s finish somewhere around the time every design feed filled with soft mineral walls, and the look travels well beyond the city. And part of it is the material itself — in a region this rich in stone heritage, lime finishes aren’t an import; they’re a homecoming.
Carleton Place & Almonte
Two towns, one river, opposite personalities. Carleton Place is growing fast, and its new customs want statement walls; Almonte’s limestone-and-Victorian fabric wants breathable lime finishes that respect the masonry. Both are covered on our new Carleton Place & Almonte page.
Kemptville
North Grenville’s estate lots are producing some of the most ambitious residential builds in the region, and builders are calling us in at the drywall stage. What we’re applying, and how to schedule us around your trades, is on the Kemptville page.
Rockland
East along the river, Clarence-Rockland’s new builds are the perfect canvas for limewash — big, bright, open walls that flat paint leaves cold. Details (en français aussi) on the Rockland page.
Perth
The region’s heritage-stone capital. Lime finishes aren’t a style choice in Perth so much as the technically correct one — breathable materials for walls that predate acrylic paint by a century. Our approach to heritage work is on the Perth page.
The Ottawa Valley
Arnprior, Renfrew, Pembroke, Calabogie: cottage country. Limewashed bedrooms, plastered chimney breasts, microcement wet rooms that shrug off lake humidity. We batch our Valley visits, so photo quotes move fastest — see the Ottawa Valley page.
Why dedicated pages, and what’s next
Each of these pages answers the questions we actually get from that town — travel, heritage approvals, builder scheduling, French service, cottage logistics — instead of making everyone dig through an Ottawa-centric site. Over the coming months we’ll be adding local project photos and client words from each area as jobs wrap up, so the pages keep getting more useful. If your town isn’t listed yet, call anyway — the map above is where we work most, not a fence.
