That’s why we keep a showroom inside Alteriors, the furniture store at 2183 Carling Ave in Ottawa — a place where you can stand in front of full-size limewashed and plastered walls, run a hand over them, and watch the surface shift as you move. If you’re deciding between finishes, twenty minutes here settles more than two weeks of scrolling.
What you’ll see
Real walls, finished the way we’d finish yours: venetian plaster burnished to its soft stone sheen, limewash in cloudy, hand-brushed movement, seamless microcement, and liquid metal accents. Side by side, in the same light — which is exactly the comparison a phone screen can’t give you. You’ll also find sample boards in a range of colours and textures, and we can make up boards in your shortlisted colours for you to take home and live with for a few days.
Why our showroom lives inside a furniture store
It’s deliberate. A finish sample pinned to a white wall tells you almost nothing; the same finish beside wood, linen, stone and low evening light tells you everything. Sharing a floor with Alteriors means you see our walls the way you’d actually live with them — behind a sofa, around a dining table, next to real furniture rather than in a paint-store vacuum. Come for the walls, browse the furniture, or do it the other way around.

Can I take samples home?
Yes. We keep sample boards in a range of standard colours, and we can make boards up in your shortlisted colours to take home — the only honest way to judge a mineral finish is in your own light, over a full day.
Is the showroom only for Ottawa projects?
